EVERY TUESDAY, STARTING FROM APRIL 28TH – 4:30PM – 5:30PM FOR SIX WEEKS
This is a hands-on woodworking program designed for girls aged 13+ to learn real skills, build confidence, and create something they’re genuinely proud of. This program is facilitated by Katie, a qualified furniture maker and woodworking teacher. Katie is committed to teaching girls and women of all ages, and empowering them through developing hands on skills, and a can-do approach to their work.
Over six weeks, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of working with timber using hand tools and some power tools in a supportive, small-group environment. Each session builds on the last, guiding them through the process of measuring, cutting, assembling and finishing their own projects.
Girls Build Lab is about more than just making things (although that’s pretty fun too!) It’s about learning how to back yourself, try something new, solving problems, and discovering what you’re capable of creating.

What they'll make

This is not a theory based class. It's hands-on from the start, with a focus on doing, making, problem solving and building confidence through real outcomes.
Who's it for?
Girls aged 13 and up who are curious, creative, and want to learn practical skills in a calm, design led workshop environment. No prior experience is needed.
