WEEKEND COURSE/ SEPT 10TH & 11TH
The Course fee is $650 via website payment
Have you ever dreamt of making your own furniture?
Maybe you’ve dabbled in some repurposing or breathed new life into a beloved piece with chalk paint. But have you ever made something, from scratch? My two day MAKE IT! course will teach you how to make this stunning hardwood coffee table, using two techniques of joinery. Without ANY prior experience or skills necessary. Guided by me, in my workshop in Brookvale, I’ll teach you how to safely use tools like a table saw, a drop saw, a drill and driver, the Kreg Jig, an orbital sander, the router and the jigsaw.

Over two days I’ll walk you through, step by step, how to use two methods of joinery (the pocket hole and the Domino) to build your own stunning hardwood coffee table in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment. In my small classes of four you’ll feel 100% supported, able to ask lots of questions, and all in a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere. Experience the joy, focus and connectedness that comes from building something with your own hands.
After our two days together, you’ll leave my workshop not only brimming with new knowledge, but full of pride in your achievement, and empowered to continue your making journey. Not only that, but you’ll also take home a gorgeous piece of designer furniture, made by you! I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into my workshop.

If you don’t finish your piece of furniture at the end of our two days together, you’re welcome to visit a MAKE up session in the same month as your weekend course. This will give you an extra two hours to put all the final touches on your piece. Please note, this is a supervised session, not a teaching lesson.
The table is customisable to your needs.
Included in the course fee is a top with a diameter of up to 550mm and with a finished height of 400mm. If you'd like a larger diameter, or slightly taller coffee table - please let me know. Additional material costs may be incurred, but will be kept to a minimum where possible.
Small class limited to 4 participants (18 years and over)
$595 via website booking.
WHAT TO WEAR
Sturdy closed in footwear and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
WHAT TO BRING
Lunch both days and a water bottle.
I’m excited to welcome you into my workshop!
Please note that this is a fully functioning commercial factory that I share with another maker. During our sessions together, there may be a lot of noise and ‘making’ that’s happening in the background. I hope you’ll appreciate the benefits of experiencing a real-life maker space and forgive the noise and mess that may come with it.
Bookings close one day before the session starts, unless sold out prior.
Due to the small size of my classes, payments/deposits are non-refundable, as class numbers are hard to fill last minute, and materials have already been purchased. Your booking indicates that you understand and agree to this cancellation policy. Please email me if there is a compassionate reason for cancelling. Thank you for your understanding.
ONE ADDITIONAL MAKE UP SESSION
Your course fee provides you with one additional supervised two hour-session at my workshop. If you don’t complete your bedside table in the two-day course, you’re welcome to visit my workshop during a make-up session (usually a Sunday 2 – 4pm) in the same month as your course. This is a supervised session, not an additional teaching lesson.
